HUDA to begin alloting sites in layout
Deputy Commissioner of Hassan V. Anbukkumar said here on Monday that the Hassan Urban Development Authority (HUDA) would soon begin allotting sites in the S.M. Krishna Layout, being developed by the authority, to all eligible applicants through lottery.
Addressing farmers, who parted with their land for the layout, he said the HUDA had addressed all difficulties involved in developing the layout. The farmers would be allotted developed land in the ratio of 60:40 against the quantum of land they parted with. They would get over 9,000 sq ft per acre of land acquired as compensation.
When the farmers present at the meeting demanded allocation of commercial sites for the land losers as compensation, the Deputy Commissioner said the rules did not allow that. “The HUDA is prepared to address all grievances of the farmers,” he said.
