Special buses on 12 routes during school hours
This is to help students to reach school in time as well as return home without any difficulty.
Special buses will be operated in the following routes: 23C, 29A, 11G, 12B, 21L, 27D, 29C, 47, 5B, 6D, 37B and 38C. The specials will be operated twice in the morning and evening.
On October 18, correspondents of various institutions mooted a change in the school timings in view of the increasing number of school van accidents and severe traffic congestion during peak hours.
They made this suggestion at a meeting convened by the department of school education, which was attended by 250 correspondents in the city.
